This is a fun and tasty way to enjoy your leftover Rube's steak, using your smoker, grill or oven!
1 tablespoon olive oil • 1 tablespoon garlic butter (or 1 tablespoon butter & 1 teaspoon minced garlic) • 1/2 red onion, chopped • 1 cup fresh asparagus, cut into pieces • 1 cup sliced fresh mushrooms • 1 teaspoon rosemary • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt • thin pizza crust • 2 cups shredded pizza blend cheese, divided • 1 small container ricotta cheese
In a large skillet, melt garlic butter with olive oil. Add veggies and seasonings, and sautée over medium-high heat until tender. Brush pizza crust with olive oil, and top with 1 cup of pizza blend cheese. Add slices of leftover Rube's steak. Dollop spoonfuls of ricotta cheese randomly over pizza. Spread mushroom/asparagus mix over crust.Top with remaining shredded cheese. Smoke for 14 minutes in a 350° smoker. May also be grilled or baked in a conventional oven. Grill - bake over indirect coals until cheese melts and crust browns. Oven - bake in a 350° oven for 14 minutes, or until cheese melts and crust browns.
